EVENT BACKGROUND The Forest Grove Public Arts Commission is committed to the advancement of the arts and artists through acquisition, education, promotion, performance and celebration. Giving local artists a venue to share and sell their art is one of the Public Arts Commission goals and mission. Hosting an Arts Festival is not only providing a venue for artists; but gives our community access to the arts. It is our intention to make this an annual event, to give artists a consistent and progressive opportunity to show case their work.
Our first annual festival corresponds with Hispanic Heritage month. With this in mind, the Public Arts Commission seeks to feature a Latino artist(s), to celebrate the diversity present in our rich local arts culture.
