If your child already loves to draw, cut, glue, stamp, paint or mold, and you want to encourage their exploration of art, this is your opportunity. Beth brings to this class a treasure trove of materials, media and age-appropriate tools along with a playful attitude for creating art. Your child will learn observation skills and expand their experience of art by responding to “what if” scenarios and a variety of media. A structured format keeps them engaged and happy.

Each weekly hour-long class starts with a greeting song, an introduction to the day’s media, two or three techniques to play with, and ends with clean-up time and a mini art show.

This course is for young ones who already have an interest in art. Beth has taught children through the Regional Arts and Culture Council’s Architects-in-Schools program, and Farm-Life Education at GeerCrest Farm near Silverton. Beth is an active member of the Village Gallery of Arts.
