Artist • Allen Greene
Allen Greene recently resumed painting after 40 years in the practice of Architecture. He studied art at Central Washington College and University of Oregon, with watercolor painting under Neil Roch and Andrew Vincent.
His current interest is in transparent watercolor interpretations of the Oregon scene, from the Malheur Basin and the Wallowas, through the John Day country, the Columbia Gorge and Cascades, to the Pacific Ocean. Projects include a series of grain elevators and columnar basalt studies.
Allen’s work is currently showing at Columbia Art Gallery in Hood River, The Dalles Art Center, and The Village Gallery of Arts. Paintings have shown in Eastern Washington Watercolor Society, Watercolor Society of Oregon, Northwest Watercolor Society, Beaverton Arts Showcase, and the Oregon Agricultural Show.
