Wanda’s Rose by

Judy McIntosh Vatne
Shortly after retirement from teaching music in the public school system, I chose to develop my lifelong interest in the visual arts. I registered for a beginning watercolor class at The Village Gallery of Arts in 2005 and since that first watercolor class I have studied with many talented local and nationally known artists. I am an active participant in classes offered through the gallery and benefit from the mentoring and encouragement of my fellow artists and classmates.
I work primarily with watercolor as I learn the traditional methods but also work with collage and acrylics. I love to “play at my art” as I discover new ways of using materials and techniques.
