Explore the basics of weaving a simple basket with this fun doorknob design. No weaving experience needed. This class will cover weaving a small base with flat reed spokes, shaping a basket, single twining the sides, and finishing with a simple lashed rim. Colors will be available if wanted to add to the sides. Alternatively, directions for tea-staining your completed natural basket will be provided. All basket material will be provided for a $15 supply fee.
It would be helpful for students to bring: a small water spray bottle, an old towel for their laps, a small plastic container to moisten your reed in, tape measure, and sturdy scissors for cutting reed.
