- First session – prep tiles (sand, clean, sign, & tape), select colors and get creative
Here’s your opportunity to try fluid art aka acrylic pouring and create a one-of-a-kind 4 coaster set. Each coaster will be a unique work of art. Learn about some different pouring techniques. After acrylics have cured for about 2 weeks, I will resin the coasters and bring them back for the second session.
- Second session – remove tape from back, clean/dust off backs, prepare cork and affix to back, trim as necessary.
Now get ready for the abstract flower on canvas. A base neutral color will be applied as the background color. Additional colors will be added on top, then watch the magic happen.
About the Instructor:
Having discovered acrylic pouring/fluid art a few years ago, I have experimented with various techniques – all of which offer such distinctive effects. What is so intriguing about this type of art is that from when you first start creating, you never know exactly how your work is going to end up until you are done. No two pieces will ever be identical – each piece is a unique piece of artwork.
