Leah’s Note
When was the first time you held a pencil? A paintbrush? A crayon? A lump of play dough?
There’s nothing quite like that feeling of possibility, of promise…of freedom and self-expression. Whatever you created, on the inside page of a coloring book, in the margins of school paper, with your kids, or in an art class — these were unique, magical things that could only be made by one person – you.
I invite you to remember these feelings, if it was decades ago or if it was just last week. Art is very patient, it will wait for you until that moment of inspiration hits. That moment can arise from seeing a beautifully hand-woven basket, to a colorful acrylic painting, to a sensitively drawn, hand-made card. Or, from talking with other artists about what inspires them.
The inspiration is just steps away.
See you soon.
