Chris Kondrat creates art using all types of aqueous media and she has been actively taking art classes and workshops since 2005. She began by painting in watercolor and first exhibited her art in 2010. Since then, she has explored acrylic, collage and mixed media. She is a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon and the Village Gallery of Arts in Cedar Mill, where she exhibits her work in their monthly shows.
Her subject matter includes landscapes, still life, abstracts, and flowers, often with a whimsical colorful quality. In addition to watercolor paper, she paints on Yupo and rice paper. Chris also has used cradle boards and canvas as substrate, and produces cards from her art.
Chris has the most fun and creativity when telling a story with her artwork.
She enjoys participating in art demos for youth and children and has exhibited her work at several venues, including the Cedar Mill Farmer’s Market, Beaverton Art Mix, Watercolor Society of Oregon, Lakewood Festival of the Arts, Franciscan Spiritual Center and charity events for Blanchet House, Komak, and 350pdx.
