February Featured 3D Fine Arts Crafts – Karen Trent
Karen Trent, always had a creative nature, and dabbled in many different crafts over her lifetime. In her 50s she discovered the art of stained glass and found her true passion. Over the years, Karen refined her skills and traveled all over Oregon selling her work at markets and art shows. She also made exquisite custom pieces, windows, and sidelights. When arthritis made cutting glass too difficult, she transitioned to kiln glass art and found a new passion. She also worked with paper and concrete, formed leaves being her favorite.
Karen joined The Village Gallery of Arts and continued to make her beautiful art until illness made it no longer possible. Karen Trent passed away peacefully on August 17th 2024. Many of her pieces have been generously donated to the Village Gallery of Art by her family, with the proceeds of their sales intended to benefit the Gallery and its mission of furthering artistic endeavors.
In memory of Karen, her work will be displayed for sale as the 3-D Fine Arts Crafts Feature for February 2025.
