On Saturday, June 3^rd, VGA opened their classroom to the public to make hand puppets from 1-3 pm, which provided a fun afternoon activity for the children & parents who did this activity together.  One participant was already thinking “puppet show”. Precut puppet shapes were provided together with a variety of embellishments, scissors and glue.  One question came up—“Do you do this all the time?’  So a mask-making event is already planned for the Saturday before Halloween and maybe there will be another event before that!  If you have an idea in mind and would like to organize it, please contact education@villagegalleryarts.org.
