Instructors Needed

Did you know that the Village Gallery of Arts was incorporated as a teaching gallery in 1963?  Did you know that prior to COVID, classes were a major revenue stream for us?  Do you have skills to share or know someone who does?  One does not have to be a member to teach at VGA.  A good instructor has passion for what they do, combined with people and organizational skills.  The gallery would love more instructors of any medium.  Our instructors are Independent Contractors, who are paid for their classes and pay a 30% commission to the gallery.  Maybe you’ve had others compliment you on your work and ask questions about how it was done or where your ideas came from.  Maybe you have a few tricks up your sleeve with paint, ink, clay or fill-in-the-blank.  Sharing your creativity and abilities helps others to grow as artists.  Maybe offering a one or two session workshop would suit your schedule and needs, or perhaps the continuity of three or four sessions is more appropriate.  Think about it…  For more information about teaching at the Village Gallery of Arts, please contact education@villagegalleryarts.org.

ALSO we are on the lookout for volunteers willing to offer free two hour events which require mainly organization and supervision without actual teaching.  Volunteer help requested for our fall and winter free drop-in events:

October 26: Make a Mask

November 30:  Holiday ornaments

December 7, 14 & 21:  Holiday ornaments
