Leah’s Note
Art teachers can be valuable, supportive friends and guides on the creative journey. There’s nothing quite like getting that personal advice, attention, and direction from someone who has already been where you’re heading. They can also remind you of those forgotten tips and tricks when you get back to artmaking after years of wandering.
Who are these wonderful people? How can we find them? Well, if you’re reading this, I’m about to challenge your thinking. Our next new art teacher could be….you. There may be a certain skill you have, or a knack with kids, or a desire to share. An art degree is great, but not necessary. If you’re not sure, one way to find out is to stop by one of our free art activities and help out! Talk to us, we want to know what you’re thinking, and help you to feel more confident about sharing your artistic skills with the community. Our teachers need not be members. If interested, contact support@villagegalleryarts.org
Here’s to learning (or teaching) something new!
