Please welcome:
Jane Wilson
Jane Wilson was our first new member of 2024! Previously Jane owned a retail gift and flower shop. Her current focus is on weaving and gourd art. As a participating member Jane jumped right in and is teaching classes in how to create beautiful works of art from gourds.
Karen Hayter
Karen Hayter joined VGA on January 25th. Her medium is pastels. Following a planned, extended vacation Karen is looking forward to working as a Gallery Assistant in the Gallery and helping to host the Art Chats.
Nehal Patel
Nehal Patel was looking for an artist community and discovered VGA while on a walk near his home! His medium is pencil drawing, specifically portraits. Prior to immigrating to the US in 2014 Nehl and his wife were designers and fabricators in the Indian fashion industry. In addition to working full-time at Intel, Nehal and his wife established a second business in the US making clothing designed specifically for the US Indian culture. Nehal has volunteered to help Bob Hall with maintenance of the Gallery.
Rose Rutherford-Ha
Rose Rutherford-Ha was searching for a community where educators and students of art practice and found VGA on the internet. Her interests are ceramics, collage, sculpture, woodcraft, gourd art, found art and more! She is teaching a ceramic class and is currently shadowing Debbie Teeter and helping with Art Dollars for Scholars.
April Xu
April Xu is returning to VGA following the pandemic. She graduated from the Chinese academy of Art and came to this country with her husband in 2008. She teaches oil painting and sketching in her gallery 6 days a week. She is looking forward to assisting the Inside Show Gallery Team.
Marianne Ryder
A former Board Member of the Oregan City Artist Guild Marianne Ryder has nexperience in writing grants and graphic design. Her medium is watercolor and some oil painting. Marianne works full-time and is looking forward to volunteering on the Community Outreach team, specifically Community Events.
