Art keeps me excited about living. I cannot NOT do art. There is a euphoria after I create something new, different, and only mine. Watercolor is my #1 favorite medium but when I explore other techniques and mediums, that exploration almost always brings new life to my creativity in different and surprising ways. I enjoy photography, fine crafts, and mixed media, including fabric and card art.
I was born and raised in Oregon. The military took my husband and me and our two sons through many moves including Berlin Germany. After military retirement, we moved to Houston Texas where my husband taught at the University of Texas for 15 years while I was active in many art organizations. Upon another retirement, we moved to Tigard, Oregon where I jumped right into the art organizations and joined OWCA, Village Gallery of Arts, Watercolor Society of Oregon, and showed in many venues including a one person show at Mt Angel Sausage restaurant. I have been displaying my art in the Tualatin Studio Tours since 2011, ArtSplash in Tualatin for 2009, and am looking forward to Washington County Open Studios each October. My work has been displayed at the Sherwood YMCA, King City Art Club, Art Adventures Gallery in Madras Oregon, and at the Sidestreet Gallery in Portland.
