Support our efforts—Shadow a coordinator!
One key to a successful organization is strong programming; another is continuity. A good time to learn a new position is working alongside the person currently in place. These positions are in need of job shadows with an eye to future transitions. Take advantage of the opportunity to work alongside an experienced person!
Fundraising—if you have a passion for our local art community and have an interest in seeing the miracle of giving at the Village Gallery of Arts, please reach out. Shadowing is a wonderful way to meet supporters and artists in the community who share our common goals. Learn more about Fundraising while being a compassionate participant. Laura Leiman is happy to talk to you! (lal.studio@comcast.net)
Art Dollars for Scholars—aside from the obvious goal of supporting young artists, one of the wonderful things about this program is how it brings VGA members & the community together, and engages so many gallery teams. There is an organizational plan, team & calendar in place. I am searching for a co-captain to work alongside me through 2024. The responsibilities span the months of January through May. Classroom Scheduler—While this position is part of the Education Team, a level of tech savvy is required, so it doesn’t require someone interested in teaching. Learn to post classes on our website using Event Tickets Pro, interface with instructors & the technology team. (andrsnlouise@aol.com)
Treasurer—It’s never too soon to have candidates in the wings for this important position. Learn the various aspects of the treasurer’s job over the course of the next year. You will also have the support of 2 other members of the Finance Team. The best fit will be someone savvy with numbers and technology who possesses good problem solving skills and strong attention to detail. Experience with Quickbooks would be a plus, although it can be learned. An understanding of spreadsheets is also helpful. (treasurer@villagegalleryarts.org)
