VGA at Cedar Mill Farmers Market

VGA has reserved a booth at Cedar Mill’s Farmers Market for Saturday, July 27th and Saturday, August 24th.  This is a fun opportunity to promote the Village Gallery of Arts.  We are looking for volunteers to work the booth.  If you are interested and able to work for a couple of hours, please contact Sharon Dunham.

Here are some guidelines, details & rules about using the Cedar Mill Farmers Market Community Booth to promote your organization/non-profit/business/etc.

  • Set up is between 7:30am and 8:30am. We will send you a market map a couple of days prior to your market date. Please follow the arrows on the map if you need to bring a car into the site to unload. If you bring a car into the farmer’s market space, you must have it out by 8:45am. Parking for you is at Sunset Science Park Federal Credit Union. No cars may park in the Sunset Mall parking lot.
  • We ask that you maintain your booth space the entire length of the market, 9am-2pm If you run out of items to give out, you can still be there to share about your organization.
  • We will provide you with a tent & a table (please bring your own chairs)
  • Please display a sign prominently so folks know who you are.
  • You may not sell anything or exchange any money from this booth. However, you may ask for donations if you don’t accept market tokens as payment. You may promote, make appointments, and hand out materials and coupons.
  • Please keep with the theme of the farmer’s market. do not hand out commercially made candy or soda.
  • We suggest that you do something interactive to entice people to come and spend time at your booth. Coloring contests, prize wheels, free evaluations and samples and handouts are always good.
  • We run until 2pm and you are required to keep your booth completely set up until the closing bell. After the 2pm closing bell, you may pack up your items. If you are willing to assist, we would love for you to help us take down your booth.
  • Vehicles may return to the parking lot until 2:15pm.
  • If you will be doing something noteworthy such as handing out free products or doing a demonstration, please send us the details with a picture ASAP so that we may promote it.
  • There is no fee for the Community Booth, but DONATIONS TO THE MARKET are greatly appreciated.
