VGA Spends a Cultural Afternoon with Venezuela’s Voice in Oregon

On Saturday, April 29th VGA volunteers Jeannine Bamberg, Chris Kondrat and Debbie Teeter handed out free 39 free art kits and provided a bookmark coloring activity at the Jenkins Estate.  Venezuela’s Voice in Oregon hosted a Cultural Afternoon which included Venezuelan instrumental music, art, nature walks and food.  This event was free to the public.  Debbie designed bookmarks featuring Venezuelan flora and fauna which children and adults colored using water soluble pencils and pens for a watercolor look.  Three of our art kits featured directions in both English and Spanish, courtesy of Noris Lara, a friend of Outreach Coordinator, Sharon Dunham.
